Accessibility

Champion Traffic School wants every student to be able to register, take the course and pass the final exam, including students who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, have a motor disability, or have dyslexia or other reading difficulties.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, across this website and the online course. We check the site with screen readers, with the keyboard alone, on phones, and with the browser zoomed to 200%.

Help built into the course

On every lesson and on the final exam, the round blue Accessibility options button at the bottom left of the screen lets you:

  • have the page read aloud, with a choice of speed;
  • make the text bigger (up to 200%);
  • switch to dark or high-contrast colours;
  • use an easier-to-read font, wider letter spacing or wider line spacing;
  • highlight links, enlarge the mouse pointer, or show a reading guide.

Your choices are remembered on your device for the rest of the course.

The course also works with screen readers and with the keyboard alone: every picture has a description, lessons have headings to jump between, quiz answers are labelled, and you can use Tab, the arrow keys and Enter to move through lessons and tests.

Parts we don't control

Payment is handled by PayPal, the registration check by Google reCAPTCHA, and live chat by Zoho. These services have their own accessibility features. If any of them gets in your way, contact us and we will help you complete that step another way, for example by phone.

Need help or found a problem?

If you have trouble using any part of the site or course, or need information in a different format, please tell us. We'll help you and fix the problem.

We will get back to you as soon as we can.
